Where “can you make it clap” comes from
The line comes from a dating-show clip posted on YouTube in June 2024, one of those “20 guys vs 1 influencer” episodes. A man waves, bites his knuckles and laughs behind his hand; a woman flips her hair, does a 360 and poses with a small handbag. The lines are roughly “let me see you do a 360”, “ooh, can you make it clap?” and “oh, he tweaking”. The clip was reposted all over TikTok in July 2024.
On TikTok a lot of people heard the line as “oh you can make it cap”. That spelling stuck, and in October 2026 it became the name of the AI trend. So “can you make it clap” is what was actually said, and “oh you can make it cap” is what most people search. They’re the same meme.
The version we remake
Most of the October 2026 AI remakes don’t use the 2024 original. They use a later studio version: a plain light-grey room, two people in suits, about ten cuts in 15 seconds.
- The one who laughs rubs their chin, smirks and laughs behind their hand. This part has the most screen time.
- The one who flips their hair flips it, spins all the way round (the 360), grins and talks into a small mic.
That’s the clip our generator remakes, shot by shot, with the cuts in the same places. The full breakdown is on the oh you can make it cap AI trend page. We don’t make the man-and-woman original.

What is can you make it clap AI?
It is an AI remake of a short studio clip that goes around TikTok as “can you make it clap” and “oh you can make it cap”. You upload photos and the AI puts you into the clip. Here you get a 15-second remake of the light-grey studio version, cut for cut, with you and a friend in the two parts.
Is it “can you make it clap” or “oh you can make it cap”?
Both point to the same meme. The line in the June 2024 dating-show clip is roughly “ooh, can you make it clap?”. On TikTok people heard it as “oh you can make it cap”, and that spelling became the trend’s name. “You tweaking” and “oh he tweaking” are the same clip again.
Do you make the original dating-show clip?
No. We remake the light-grey studio version with two people in suits and a small mic, which is the one most of the October 2026 AI remakes use. We don’t make the 2024 original and we don’t use its footage.
How many photos do I need?
Two: your photo for the one who laughs and a friend’s photo for the one who flips their hair. One person per photo. If it’s just you, tap “Just me? Use one photo for both parts” and the same photo plays both.
